Words simply aren't adequate enough to describe this beautiful woman I had the sincere pleasure of working with. As a breast cancer survivor, she wanted to document the new body she found herself in, scars and all, both to celebrate and commemorate her journey. Seeing the tears in her eyes at her Photo Reveal Session as she saw herself in this beautiful new light... well, that's a moment I will never, ever forget, and exactly why I shoot boudoir photography. We women... our road isn't always easy, life isn't always fair. We are not our bodies, and when I can manage to capture a woman's soul shining through on camera, I consider it a real good day at the office. :) This beauty was so kind as to let me share some of her gorgeous photos. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Every now and then a client comes along and takes your breath away because they so perfectly embody the message and the style you, as the photographer & artist, would like to convey with your work. This incredibly lovely woman was just that client. Not only did she come with armfuls of lacy, classy, feminine outfits I could have chosen for her myself, but she also came all the way from NORTH CAROLINA just for a J. Noel Boudoir shoot. Flattering, much? Umm, YES!
I am still on a high from this shoot, weeks later. So excited to share a few favorites here today...
This gorgeous thing flew in from out of state for a J. Noel Boudoir session... talk about an HONOR! We had such a fabulous shoot, and she was willing to release a few faceless photos. Here's the tiniest peek - the tip of the iceberg, if you will! This one was model material, for SURE.
I have so much fun with all of my clients, honestly, but this girl was a special treat to work with. Her bubbly, happy personality, confidence, and kindness just made her glow. I loved getting to know her a bit, and helping to contribute to the best. groom's. gift. ever. :) Here's a few faves!
It's always really flattering to be hired by another photographer. It's affirming, that someone who understands the art appreciates YOUR art, too! I had SUCH a wonderful time shooting with this gorgeous girl. The camera LOVED her. Her fiancé will be getting one killer wedding gift, don't you agree? ;)
